Libby Morrison is a painter originally from Tamaki Makaurau, her paintings primarily explore human experiences through the lens of the “joy scale”. A measuring scale Libby devised through her honours studies into happiness inequalities. She also has a developed sculpture practice, working with industrial materials to create interactive works that are responsive to their installation and audience, able to be manipulated and painted. These dual practices work alongside each other to unpack what it is to be joyous, to feel, love and cry intensely.

Previous written works have also been published in Stuff and Spinoff publications.

Libbys work has been performed at: The “Women's Book shop”, Henderson councils climate discussion, 2020 Wellington rainbow poetry slam (1st), 2020 Wellington regionals ,2022 Windswept team slam (1st).

Previous exhibitions “couch crumbs” at Massey Wellington and “Event horizon” , a group show at 113 Taranaki street.

Libby’s work explores the gluttony of joy. The thrill of euphoria and responsibility of womanhood.
